Kelly Osbourne & Her Amazing Skin

She may be a rotten, spoiled, brat, but Kelly has absolutely gorgeous skin. I'd love to have it. Click the pic to really get a good look. Just flawless! Kelly was snapped shopping in NYC yesterday, March 7.

This is a side note because I don't know about her eating practices but: You know how many people who are overweight say, "I've tried every diet!"...well, that's crap and they're lying to themselves. A balanced diet and exercise works for 99.9% of people. Period. I hate hearing people say that "every diet" bull. If I eat like crap for a week then I gain lbs. If I eat well and exercise - I tend to slim down. Diets are bullocks. The only real way to be healthy is through a balanced diet and exercise. Woah, I just totally went off! Sorry.

Kelly may very well be content with her weight - she's a better example any day than those lolly-pop head skeletons parading around CelebrityLand now. The most important thing is that she is drug-free and comfortable with herself. But dayum, I want her skin!

  1. I have not been looking at your blog long but had, up until now, liked it and started looking at it regularly. I am very disappointed, therefore, to see this post. Kelly Osbourne aside, I think your note over simplifies a problem that is very serious for many people. What your catch all solution ignores is that many people have medical and psychological problems that make it very hard for them to lose, maintain, or even gain weight. Most people recogonize bulimia and anorexia as a psychological disease on par with others like depression or general anxiety disorder. Compulsive over eating is on the same level. Most people think it just means that a person "compulsively" eats more than they should at a given meal. This is a misconception. Compulsive Overeating is more like the binging that bulemics do without the purging. Then there are medical conditions such as thyroid disease. My point is, although for some people it is as simple as eating healthy and exercising, for some people it is not that simple. The really unfortunate thing is that those who have conditions that make it more difficult, think that it is because they are a bad person and don't recognize the real underlying problems. Statements like you made in your blog make things worse for them and prohibit the understanding of the public. I will concede that the "diets" on the market generally don't work but for some people additional counseling, medication, intervention is necessary and they can not do it on their own. I hope you did not mean to oversimplify things in a way that would make others feel terrible about themselves and it would be nice if you could clarify in a future blog. In many societies attacking and discriminating against people because of the way their body looks is acceptable, I think that is a sad thing in a world that is supposed to be cultured and civilized. You tend not critizise the subjects of your blogs in such mean ways so I was suprised by this blog.

  2. Her skin is like porcelain. I wish she'd change her fashion sense...I really don't like her taste in clothing.

Thank you very much for your important comment. Please know my intention is never to make someone feel bad - unless otherwise indicated. ;)

That's really why I started this blog (3wks ago): I thought other celeb gossip/news sites updated too little and were VERY negative and downright mean - so I wanted a site where people could see great photos (high quality & lots of 'em), get lots of posts each day (not 4 or 7 but 15-20+) and share some humorous takes on "celebs"...all without feeling dirty &/or evil.("Gossip and news in a not-too-mean way that won't ruin your karma!")

This was not a commentary on those with causative health problem(S). That's why I said 99.9%. My comment was solely addressing those out there who know what to do, just don't do it, but then wave the "I've tried every diet" flag. Which really, when you get down to it, reflects a major problem with society - lazy, gluttonous & selfish - with money, personal praise, food... you name it. Don't get me wrong - I have been all of these things. But never before have we seen such weight problems and so many food issues with adults and now the youth - and these issues are parent created (barring an underlying health problem). It is unhealthy and it is not fair...and it is scary.

Even though I think Kelly falls under the "diet and exercise works for 99.9% of people" group - I was purposefully complimentary because I do like to champion the positive, I do not think she looks bad and I certainly don't think weight determines a persons worth...I said:

"Kelly may very well be content with her weight - she's a better example any day than those lolly-pop head skeletons parading around CelebrityLand now. The most important thing is that she is drug-free and comfortable with herself."

I hope this helps to clarify. Again, thank you so much for your wise comment. Great discussion!

    Peace In.
