In an Access Hollywood interview , "Big Mouth-I don't know when to STFU" Foxx said,
"It's a cultural thing... I used to see dogs fighting in the neighbourhood all the time... Mike probably just didn't read his handbook on what not to do as a black star. I know that cruelty to animals is bad, but sometimes people shoot people and kill people and don't get time... I give Mike the benefit of the doubt."
People for The Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) president Ingrid Newkirk was enraged by the actors efforts to justify Vick's repulsive and disturbing activities. "It is cheap and dirty and wrong to call this a cultural thing, unless Foxx believes that cruelty is a black thing - when it isn't. It may be his thing, but it is not a black thing."
I won't be watching any Jamie Foxx movies in the near future. "Mike probably just didn't read his handbook on what not to do as a black star."...Are you f**king kidding me? Culture my arse. Just because it is part of your culture (so gangsta ya'all!) doesn't make it ok. This pisses me off like when African Americans rally and say "Stop Black on Black crime!" - Shouldn't we want to stop all crime? Why create the separation?
It was Friday Vick signed a plea agreement admitting to a dogfighting charge and agreed that the 'Bad Newz Kennels' business enterprise (run from his Virginia home) "involved gambling activities in violation of the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia as set forth in the indictment."
His sponsors have dropped him. The NFL suspended him indefinitely on Friday (hopefully a lifetime ban will follow). The Atlanta Falcons have been cleared to pursue the $22 million signing bonus ($130 million contract!) paid to Vick since 2004. Hope he saved some of it 'cause foolio is gonna need it yo.
No excuse for his behavior. None. He should be banned from the NFL. Forever.
