Good Work Rachel!
I confess, I am a Rachael Ray addict...girl cooks like a human (not a freaky schooled chef) and she is personable. Talkative...but good spirited...she's real people even though you know she's making boo-koo bucks! Plus, she has worked with City Harvest for years and I love almost anyone who does their part to "give back."
These were taken at the City Harvest 25th Anniversary "Practical Magic Ball" held at Cipriani in New York on Wednesday (April 18) - Rach hosted.

It's so funny: Rach has done tons of red carpets and gigs like this but she still looks shocked to be there...each and every time! Kinda like Doolittle on American Idol when she receives a compliment...you know she knows she can saaaaang.
I love Rachel's recipes...below are a steak version and veggie version of her "Steak Sandwich - Knife Required."
The main course is skirt steak soaked in olive oil, garlic & rosemary and grilled...with spinach, garlic & blue cheese tossed in red wine vinegar and then tossed with grilled asparagus. Veggie version skipped the steak and replaced it with whole grain and wild rice.
Desert was pears poached in water, bit of sugar, ginger & lemon zest, dressed with blackberries (brain food!), homemade chocolate hearts, a tiny scoop of vanilla bean ice cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Scrumptious!
