Get to Know Beth Ditto & the Gossip

Beth Ditto of the band the Gossip recently lost Sexiest Female to skinny and perpetually trashed Kate Moss at NME's awards show in London but she won't let that stop her from becoming the new face of and designer of a line for Topshop. Moss has done both as well. Let's just say that Ditto is the antithesis of Moss!

Ditto is a self-described "fat, feminist lesbian from Arkansas," and news reports like to say she ate squirrel during her childhood in an Arkansas trailer park but here's what Beth has to say about that: She didn't eat the squirrel - her cousin did:

"The first time I ever got stoned was with my cousin. We were like 13 and 14. We smoked out of a Coke can, and then he flung open the back side door and took out his BB gun and started shooting outside. I was like, 'What are you doing?' And he's like 'What do you mean?' And I look out the door and he's shooting squirrels. And then I'm like, 'Oh my god.' And then he goes and gets them, skins them, and fries them up, because he has the munchies. Swear to God. True story."
