Winslet Wins Damages Over Diet Lies
(cue cheers!)

(Leo & Kate at Vanity Fair's Oscar party 2007)

Kate, 31, took Grazia magazine to court for an article it published last month erroneously claiming she had sought the help of California-based Chinese herbalist Yi Pan for her weight, despite publicly vowing not to cave to Hollywood pressure on actresses to be skinny - when, in fact, she had actually visited him for neck pain.

Winslet's attorney, Rachel Atkins, was in London's High Court this Friday (March 9, '07) to receive the judgement and Kate was not in attendance. She was awarded an unspecified but "substantial" damages payment which, attorney Atkins said, Winslet will donate to charity.

The magazine did print an apology in its March 5 issue.

Kate was quoted as saying, "I am not a hypocrite," she said. "I have always been, and shall continue to be, honest when it comes to body/weight issues. I feel very strongly that `curves' are natural, womanly and real."

LOVE KATE and LOVE REAL WOMEN! Power to normalcy!
