Is Tobey Maguire Rethinking "Spiderman 4?"

Maybe Maguire is a little nervous Jake Gyllenhaal as Captain Marvel could eclipse his "Spider-Man" fame, but sources say Maguire has changed his mind regarding future "Spider-Man" flicks and says there's a chance he would stick around for the fourth installment under one condition:

"It all depends on if there's a story worth telling. I feel very proud of the three movies that we've made. I feel like the stories all deserve to be told, and, you know, if they come up with a good movie, and the whole team wants to get back together, and we feel like we can make a good movie that's worth making, then I'm up for it."

Maguire, who just recently admitted he checked into rehab & joined AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) at 19-yrs-old for help with an alcohol addiction says, "'Spider-Man 3' might be a good place to stop - I am not tied contractually to any more 'Spider-Man' movies. I would say the odds were in favour of this being the last one."

Kirsten Dunst, who starred as Mary Jane Watson (Spider-Man's/Peter Parker's love interest) in the last three Spidey's, says she's, "not the type of actress who does movie after movie," so she may or may not climb on board (you know she will).

With a release date set for 2009 - they'll need to be casting at some point in the near future!
