Snoop Caught A Breaky-Break
(Sorry, I can't help myself!)

Yesterday I posted Easter pics from rapper Snoop Dogg and told you about his court appearance scheduled for today regarding his October 26 arrest for drug and gun charges. Dude got out of it - again - sorta.

The D-O-Double-G entered into a plea agreement Wednesday that spared him prison time – for now – on the gun and weapons charges.

"Snoop recognizes he got a great plea deal from prosecutors," said his attorney, Donald Etra. "He's going to make sure nothing interferes with keeping his part of the bargain. He's relieved and glad this case is behind him."

As part of the agreement, Dogg (real name Calvin Broadus) pleaded no contest to gun possession by a felon and sale or transportation of marijuana. Apparently he has a certificate for medical marijuana for migraine headaches, but the amounts found exceeded the legal limit.

Yeah, um, a San Diego doctor authorized to issue those certificates was busted after he wrote a certificate for A DOG...of the four-legged kind. I'm just sayin'...

He also got five years probation, must complete 800 hours of community service and cannot associate with gang members (damn, no more BBQ at my house yo). I enjoy Snoop's older raps but isn't he past the 3-strike rule?

Exactly...it seems like Snoop is either the darling of the courts or just too hopeless to put through the system over and over.

It does seem like he's getting a lot of breaks in the court system. Not right at all.
