VTech Massacre Murderer Identified As South Korean English Major Student

Mass murderer Cho Seung-Hui

The murderer in the Virginia Tech massacre that killed 33 people (including the gunman) and injured 26 (3 remain in critical but stable condition), has been identified as 23-year-old senior VTech student Cho Seung-Hui, of South Korea.

Emily Hilscher, 18, was the target in the dorm shooting. She may have dated or was dating the shooter and he may have thought she was seeing someone else.

Ballistics tests showed one of the guns found on Seung-Hui was used in both shootings - the one at the dorm that killed 2 and the classroom massacre - although police cannot yet say whether Seung-Hui was the shooter in both incidences.

Ryan Clark, 22 of Georgia, was the second dorm victim and may have tried to intervene in the shooting of Hilscher. There is also speculation he may have been seeing Hilscher.
