James Brown Took 76 Days to Lay to Rest

James Brown died on Christmas Day, December 25, 2006. February 24, 2007, I posted this about Brown and people coming out of the woodwork to claim him as their father or Brown as their child's biological father.

Brown was finally laid to rest yesterday at the Beech Island home of one of his daughters - in a crypt emblazoned with the words "Godfather of Soul."

His wife (in dispute) Tomi Rae Hynie and their son, James Brown II (5), were in attendance and Hynie says she plans to move back to South Carolina to "carry out James' plans" of making their marital home a, "Graceland."

Good to see him laid to rest finally. Finally. Finally.
